This Friday, join OpenMarketMN and Twin Cities VCC from Snelling and Dan Patch Avenues to Snelling and Summit Avenues in a General Strike to protect the Boundary Waters. This is a recurring weekly protest every Friday.
Last month, the U.S. Senate voted 50-49 to repeal a 20-year ban on mining near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, paving the way for the Twin Metals mining company to open an underground copper mine, per MPR News.
