Janet C. Mishler (1932-2026)

Janet Claire Mishler passed away on March 14. She was 93.
Mishler loved her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, camping and many road trips across the country, as well as knitting, crocheting and canning. She worked for St. Paul Public Schools as a lunch lady as well as Sears Cafe on Rice Street, and had her homemade dinner on the table every night.
Mishler was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Thomas W. and son Jerry.
She is survived by her son Thomas “Porky,” and daughters Lynn (Dale Aschenbrenner) Mishler and Karen (Edward) Timm. She was always a loving grandma to Andrea, Amy Thomas Benjamin and Robert and great-grandma to Samantha, Joseph, Delores, Angel, Benny, Rylee, Easton, Ruby and Dennis.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 26 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home – Roseville. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
Gertrude Ungar (1927-2026)

Gertrude E. Ungar of Roseville passed away peacefully on March 11. She was 98.
Ungar, also known as “Gert,” was accepting of everyone, without judgement. She enjoyed hearing about people’s lives and once she spoke to anyone, remembered everything about them and truly cared about their lives. She wrote letters to keep in touch and phoned or sent a card to everyone on their birthday. Gert’s eternal legacy is her kindness; she was well loved and will be greatly missed.
Ungar was preceded in death by her husband Ernest N. and son Ronald.
She is survived by her son Bob (Libby), grandchildren Chriss (Rick) Boertje and Cooper Finseth, great-grandchildren Ryan Finseth, Aubrey (Kyle) Sieberg and Ethan (Anne) Boertje and great-great grandchildren Kane and Drake Sieberg.
Memorial service at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24 at Roselawn Cemetery Chapel, 803 W Larpenteur Ave., Roseville.
