Visitation: Wednesday, June 10, 4-7 p.m., Mueller-Bies Funeral Home — Roseville

Albert Henry “Al” Schwartz of Roseville passed away Monday after a short illness. He was 94.

Schwartz was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, for whom he served as an anti-aircraft gunner on the west coast during the Korean War. He had a long career in computer technology and holds patents on memory sections used on Navy submarines and surface ships.

Schwartz was the quintessential family man; he truly enjoyed raising his children and watching his grandchildren grow and prosper. He also had a lifelong passion for model airplanes, bowled in several leagues and took daily bike rides up and down his street, stopping to chat with whomever was out and about.

Schwartz was preceded in death by his wife Carroll and daughter Connie. He is survived by his children Pat (Sandy), Darlene (Steve) Maday, Julie (Andy) Dachtera, Joe (Jan) and Bob (Amy), many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Disabled American Veterans.
