Okáǧa Summer-Wind Celebration: Dakota Summer Teachings

Come gather at Battle Creek Park Pavilion in Maplewood to welcome the return of Okáǧa, the fertile and invigorating Dakota Summer-Wind of the South.
This free community celebration brings together Dakota teachings and contemporary Indigenous artistry through music, dance, storytelling, plant knowledge and hands-on activities for all ages. More than just an event, it’s an opportunity to celebrate cultural renewal, creativity and our relationships with the land and one another.
