The Corpus Christi Way Walk

Members of the Catholic Community of Corpus Christi invite you to participate in The Corpus Christi Way, a nearly nine-mile pilgrimage walk taking place on Sat., Sept. 26.
The route runs from the Franciscan Brothers of Peace Friary in St. Paul to Corpus Christi Catholic Church in St. Paul. It passes by two local coffee shops and Holy Childhood Catholic Church, creating opportunities for connection and community fellowship along the way.
“Making a pilgrimage is an ancient faith tradition. It represents life; that you are moving towards something and along the way anything can happen. You have to be open to it when it comes,” said Father Michael Goodavish, Pastor at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Roseville. “I hope from the pilgrimage, people will have an increased ability to hear God speak in whatever form that happens— in silence, in nature, or through a stranger or loved one.”
Organizers emphasize that everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of past or present religious affiliation, personal history, background, gender, race, color or sexual orientation. The walk is designed to be an expression of prayer, spiritual reflection and community fellowship for everyone.
Flexible Route Options
Not sure if you want to walk the entire 8.75 miles? Pilgrims are invited to walk at their own pace and can choose to join at any of the following designated milestones:
- Full route — Starts at the Franciscan Brothers of Peace Queen of Peace Friary, 1289 Lafond Ave., St. Paul
- Milestone 1 — Karol Coffee (5.85 mile total walk), 1503 Hamline Ave. N, St. Paul
- Milestone 2 — Holy Childhood Catholic Church (5.25 miles), 1435 Midway Pkwy, St. Paul (Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be at around 1:30 p.m.)
- Milestone 3 — The Finnish Bistro Cafe & Coffee (3 miles), 2264 Como Ave., St. Paul
Schedule & Transportation
- 11 a.m. — Participants are welcome to park at the Copus Christi parking lot at 11 a.m. and find a friend to carpool to the Franciscan Brothers of Peace Queen of Peace or another starting point along the way.
- 11:45 a.m. — Opening blessing at the Franciscan Brothers of Peace Queen of Peace Friary.
- 5 p.m. — Pilgrimage concludes back at Corpus Christi (2131 Fairview Ave. N, Roseville) with refreshments served before and after 5 p.m. Mass
