DESCRIPTION:In recognition of National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week\, Ramsey County is hosting a free community event where residents can take a free blood lead test and test household items for lead.  \n\n\n\nLead is a toxic metal that is harmful to humans\, especially children under six and adults who are pregnant or breastfeeding.  \n\n\n\nAt this event\, participants can: \n\n\n\n\nGet tested. Stop by for an easy quick blood lead test.\n\n\n\nBring household items. Have items tested for lead and get immediate results. There is no limit to the amount of items individuals can bring.\n\nExamples of items include: Pots\, pans\, pottery\, imported spices\, keys\, toys\, jewelry\, tea sets\, dishes and imported candy.\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn and protect. Talk with local organizations about ways to keep your family safe from lead exposure. \n\n\n\n\nAll are welcome.
