DESCRIPTION:As part of the City of Roseville’s multi-pronged Emerald Ash Borer Program\, the City is excited to partner with Tree Trust to help create an affordable option for residents to help maintain the tree canopy on private property in Roseville. \n\n\n\nTrees are $40 each. You may purchase two (2) trees per Roseville address. DESCRIPTION:The League of Women Voters — Roseville Area presents Are Starry Nights Important?: Why Darkness Matters for People\, Birds & Wildlife. \n\n\n\nJoin us guests Todd Burlet & Kiki Sonnen as they explain why protecting natural darkness matters for human health\, wildlife and the wonder of a star-filled sky. Discover what our community can do to bring back the night.  \n\n\n\nBring your questions for the Q&A portion. \n\n\n\nTodd Burlet is the president of Starry Skies North\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating light pollution in the Upper Midwest. He is also a delegate for DarkSky International\, which combats light pollution and preserves star-filled skies on a global scale. Burlet is a lifelong amateur astronomer. \n\n\n\nKiki Sonnen is a St. Paul Audubon Society board member and lifelong St. Paul resident. She co-founded the Pig’s Eye Coalition to preserve the park’s heron and egret rookery. \n\n\n\nThis event is co-sponsored by Do Good Roseville\, Ramsey County Public Library and Resilient Roseville. \n\n\n\nPlease contact lwvrosevillearea@lwvmn.org if requesting ASL interpreting services\, allowing for lead time.
