Roseville voters have decided which candidates will advance to the November General Election following Tuesday’s municipal primary.

Incumbent Mayor Dan Roe received 6,967 votes in the mayoral primary, finishing well ahead of Matthew Drwall with 843 and Roger B. Hess Jr. with 855. Roe and Hess will move on to the General Election.

Eight candidates competed for four spots on the November ballot for the City Council, where voters will elect two members. Wayne Groff led the field with 5,119 votes, followed by Cassie Iverson with 4,131, Bruce K. Bester with 2,148 and Rebecca Carlson with 1,343. These four candidates will advance.

The remaining candidates finished outside the top four: Kevin Nicholson with 888, Alexis Cran with 477, Siafa Barclay with 464 and Erik Noren with 415.

Roseville’s municipal races will be decided in the General Election, which will determine the city’s next mayor and two council members who will help guide policy, budgeting and long‑term planning.

The League of Women Voters Roseville Area will host a nonpartisan Roseville Mayor and City Council Candidate Forum on Thursday, Sept. 24 from 7 to 8:45 p.m. at the Roseville City Council Chambers. The forum will allow residents to hear candidates discuss issues important to the community. The views expressed will be those of the candidates, not the League of Women Voters.

Residents can submit questions for the forum through an online form provided by the League of Women Voters Roseville Area.
