Linda E. Stowell (1949-2026)

Linda Elaine Stowell (née Bielke) passed away on April 17. She was 76.
Stowell leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rose and Jerome Bielke, sisters Margo Schueller and Wanda Mollenhauer and brothers Pat and Duane Bielke.
She is survived by her husband Don Stowell, son Robert Skarda (Katie) and grandchildren Stella, Reagan and Claire, her greatest joys. All who knew her will greatly miss her presence.
Visitation Friday, May 1, 2026 from 4-6 p.m. at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home – Roseville.
Robert J. Killen (1936-2026)

Robert Jerome “Bob” Killen of Eagan, Minn. passed away on Monday. He was 89.
Killen loved golfing and spending time in Texas as a snowbird.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mabel Killen and siblings Jim Killen, Pat Schueller and Deanna Krenn.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Joan, sons Steve and Marty (Annamaria), five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, siblings Mike Killen, Maureen Phillips, Carol Schanks and Peg (Jamie) Keller and many other family members.
Visitation 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home – Roseville.
Visitation from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to a charity of donor’s choice.
John D. Ernster (1943-2026)

John D. Ernster of St. Paul, Minn. passed away on Tuesday. He was 83.
Ernster grew up in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul and graduated from the St. Agnes School. Later, in December 1965, he graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. Across his career, he worked for Douglas Aircraft Company in Long Beach, Calif., the Minnesota Department of Transportation Highway Department and the Engineering Division of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, where he served as head administrator.
Ernster had many passions in life, including athletics, cars, spending time at the family cabin, playing pranks and storytelling. He was also an avid historian of St. Agnes Church and Frogtown.
Ernster was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Stella, brother Gerald and sister-in-law Dorothy Ernster.
He is survived by his wife Marie (neé Thill), children Elizabeth Ruddock, Patrick (Sherry), Laura Ernster, Craig, Annemarie (Shane) Fulfer, Joseph Sr. (Brianna Hudson) and Brittany Ernster (Bryan Ganzer), grandchildren Brandonlee, Tony, Jayce, Gabriella, Aaron, Iyana, Joseph Jr., Andrew, Christopher, Makenzie and Natalie, brothers Donald (Dee), Edward, Paul (Linda) and sister-in-law Joan Ernster.
Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 4 at The Church of St. Agnes, 548 Lafond Ave., St. Paul. Visitation 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 3 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home – Roseville and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment Roselawn Cemetery, 803 Larpenteur Ave. W, Roseville.
