Carol C. Turnquist (1943-2026)

Carol Turnquist, née Lefto, formerly of Roseville and a longtime active member of the B-Dale Club, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday. She was 89.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kevin Turnquist, parents Anthony and Dolores Lefto, brothers Gene, Bill and Gord Lefto and grandson Shane Sigmundik.

Turnquist is survived by her children Cathie (Jon) Prudhomme, Shelly (Elmer) Johnson and Terry (Marcia) Rosa, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and brother Joe (Denise) Lefto.

Funeral service 11 a.m. on Friday, May 1 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home — Roseville. Visitation at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 30 and 10-11 a.m. on Friday, May 1. A luncheon at B-Dale Club, 2100 Dale St. N., Roseville, will directly follow the service.

Private interment at Roselawn Cemetery.

Justin L. Moeller (1980-2026)

Justin “Jay Mo” Moeller of Minneapolis passed away on Saturday due to complications from cancer. He was 45.

Moeller was born in rural Minnesota and has lived in the Twin Cities area since the late 1980s. He was deeply proud to be a member of the Minneapolis community and humbly supported his community behind the scenes for many, many years. Moeller touched the lives of so many, directly through his activism and community-focused work and indirectly through the impacts he made rallying so many others to stand up for what is right.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Warren & Mary (Smyth) Soule and Leonard & Dorothy (Eberhardt) Moeller and mother Barbara (Soule) Moeller.

He is survived by his father Steven Moeller, daughter Shenette Julian, partner in life Shenequa Julian, sisters Jessica Moeller (Luciano Najera, Jr.) and Lizzy Reilly (Ben Reilly), brother Joel Tanem (Heather Tanem), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and extended family.
