Sharon Lee Koch (Sept. 24, 1964 – Aug. 28, 2026)

Sharon Lee Koch of St. Paul, Minn. passed away peacefully on Aug. 28. She was 61.

Koch was born in Fridley, Minn. to Severyn and Valentina Helmin on Sept. 24, 1964. She found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by the people she loved. Some of her favorite times were spent at the cabin, on family trips, around the dinner table, at the fair, celebrating holidays or playing cribbage, golf and bowling. For her, it was never about what they were doing, but rather who she was with and the memories they were making together.

Sharon will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, her love of family and the countless memories she created with those closest to her.

Koch was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dale Helmin. She leaves behind a lifetime of love in her husband Brian, children Travis (Kandice), Samantha (Dan) and Jessica and beloved grandchildren Eleanor, Connor and Rowan. She is also survived by her siblings Lynda (Jim), Jeff (Carole) and Dawn (Ken).

Laura N. Peterson (July 8, 1986 – Sept. 7, 2026)

Laura Nicole Peterson of St. Paul passed away on Sept. 7. She was 40.

She had just turned 40, but in those 40 years, she gave so much of herself to the people she loved. She was one of the kindest and purest souls you could ever have the privilege of knowing. She loved people deeply and had a beautiful ability to see the good in everyone, even when they could not see it in themselves.

Laura was raw, real, compassionate and deeply tenderhearted. She felt things deeply and cared about her family with her entire heart. The world could sometimes be too harsh for a soul as gentle as hers. To those who knew and loved her, she truly felt like an angel here on earth.

She was also incredibly strong. Through everything she had been through in her life, Laura remained resilient. She faced more than her share of difficult moments, and even when life was heavy, she continued to move forward with strength, humor and heart.

Laura loved music, her dogs, Nieko and Cali, and the beach. She loved the feeling of the sand between her toes and the peace that came with being near the water. She also had the best sense of humor and an incredible ability to make people laugh, even during the hardest times.

Those who loved Laura will carry forward the goodness she gave so freely and the love she brought into their lives. Her life mattered. Her love mattered. And the people fortunate enough to have known her will carry a piece of her with them for the rest of their lives.

Laura is survived by her daughter Alexis, her mother Susan, her father Gary, her brothers Chris and Ryan, her sister Ashley and her partner Marcel.

Rob William Prigge (Jan. 28, 1940 – Sept. 7, 2026)

Rob William Prigge of Breezy Point, Minn. passed away on Sept. 7. He was 86.
