Roseville Mayor Dan Roe was re-elected as several offices representing the community retained their incumbents in Tuesday’s midterm election.
Roe beat out challenger Roger B. Hess, Jr. by over 10,000 votes. This will be Roe’s fourth term as Mayor, an office he has held since 2011.
Meanwhile, Cassie Iverson was elected to the Roseville City Council and councilmember Wayne Groff was re-elected, beating out Bruce K. Bester and Rebecca Carlson.
Statewide, Amy Klobuchar (DFL) became Minnesota’s first woman governor, beating out Republican Lisa Demuth, and Peggy Flanagan (D-MN) became the first Native American woman U.S. senator.
“Minnesota, we proved once again that the many can beat the money— and that no president can beat the power of the people!” Flanagan shared in a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday. “Thank you.”
