Helen T. Longen (1926-2026)
Helen T. Longen passed away on Saturday, just short of her 100th birthday on Jan. 5.
Longen was preceded in death by her husband, James Longen, Sr., daughter Judy Symons, grandson Bill Carter and sons-in-law Roger Carter and Dan Romano.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Carter, JoAnn Romano, James Jr. (Sandie Albarella) and Micheal (Susan), as well as 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home–Roseville. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Lois Rae Lang (1950-2026)
Lois Rae Lang (née Ascheman) of St. Paul, Minn. passed away peacefully on Monday after a long battle with cancer. She was 75.
Lang was a devoted and loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She lived a life full of quiet strength and surprising spark.
Lang faced every challenge with determination and grit, and bravely fought her long battle with cancer.
Lang was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Ascheman (née Hermes), her father John Raymond Ascheman, beloved husband Kenneth M. Lang and sister-in-law Darlene Ascheman.
She is survived by her three children, Michael (Gwen) Lang, Michelle (Rich) Tschida and Jennifer Bois (Steve Flaherty), her eight grandchildren Brendan, Frank, Kennedy, Marco, Gavin, Vinny, Kierra and Lukas, and her seven siblings John (Judy), Jim, Tom (Deb) and David Ascheman, Jeanne (Dick) Hanly, Mary (Tom) Fitzgerald and Lynn (Dave) Linder.
Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home–Roseville. Visitation from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. A luncheon will be held following the service at Keller Golf Course, 2166 Maplewood Drive, Maplewood, Minn.

Bonnie Ellen Pojar (1943-2025)
Bonnie E. Pojar of Roseville, Minn., passed away on Dec. 31, 2025. She was 82.
Pojar enjoyed holiday get-togethers, was a proud hockey mom and was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Lange. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, John, her daughter Janine (Sean Mullen), her sons Jay and Jon (Sara), grandchildren Lauren, Jack and Shane and many other family and friends.
Visitation from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14 with a visitation one hour prior at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 2048 N. Hamline Avenue in Roseville. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church. Interment at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Assembly Lane #6.

Charles R. Nelson (1940-2025)
Charles R. “Chuck” Nelson of Shoreview, Minn. passed away on Dec. 31, 2025. He was 85.
Nelson lived a life of purpose, partnership and award-winning engineering accomplishments. He will be remembered with gratitude, admiration and love.
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Hilda (née Olson) Nelson and sisters Aurel Jacobson and Bonnie Lykken.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marlys, children Brent (Beth) Nelson and Kim (Jeff) Beecham, grandchildren Chelsea (Dustin) Russell, Jace (Shannon) Nelson, Dane (Marlene) Beecham and Blaire Beecham and four great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. (with a sharing of memories at 4:30 p.m.) on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home–Roseville.

Lynn Oyanagi (1955-2025)
Lynn Oyanagi of St. Paul, Minn. passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 13, 2025. She was 70.
Oyanagi was known for her hard work and attention to detail. She worked as an accountant for most of her career, and also served as the treasurer of her church, the Twin Cities Buddhist Association. She also participated in local Japanese dance groups and helped found a Taiko drumming group.
She will be remembered as a loving daughter and good friend to many people.
Oyanagi was preceded in death by her father, Kenji. She is survived by her mother Akimi and brother Steve (Carol) Oyanagi.
A Celebration of Life will be at the Cederholm Community Building in Roseville, Minn. on Sunday, Jan. 18th from 1:30-5:30 p.m. There will be service at 2:00 p.m. followed by a social time with coffee and cake.
