Approximately 200 people gathered at Central Park in Roseville on Oct. 17 for a two-hour public demonstration encouraging community members to vote early.

From noon until 2 p.m., participants lined Lexington Avenue holding signs with messages reminding passing motorists of the importance of voting. The gathering offered a visible, community-wide reminder that every election provides an opportunity for citizens to make their voices heard.

The response from passing motorists was overwhelmingly supportive. Many drivers honked their horns or gave participants thumbs-up as they drove by, signaling encouragement and appreciation for the group’s message.

The event brought together community members around a shared commitment to civic participation and the democratic process. By gathering in a visible public space, participants hoped to inspire their neighbors to make a plan to vote, and avoid waiting until Election Day by casting their ballots early if possible.

“Today was about sending a simple message to our neighbors: Make your voice heard. Vote in the upcoming midterm election, and consider voting early,” organizers said.
