Extreme heat warning issued in Minnesota, cooling centers available to residents

With the National Weather Service issuing an extreme heat warning this week, Roseville residents are advised to seek relief at designated cooling centers across the city. These spaces offer a safe, air-conditioned environment to beat the heat and protect vulnerable community members.

Regular Hours:

Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

During periods of extreme heat, the City of Roseville may extend library hours, keeping the building open as late as 11:00 p.m. (typically closes at 8:00 p.m.) to serve as a cooling center, , according to the City of Roseville, MN.

Regular Hours:

Tuesday–Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The center is open year-round and provides resources and shelter during hazardous weather conditions, according to Ramsey County.
