Eugene V. Burke (1966-2026)

Eugene “Gene” Burke passed away on June 14, surrounded by the love of his family and listening to Bob Seger, his favorite music. He was 59.

Burke was a rare soul whose kindness, generosity and selflessness touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He lived with a quiet strength and an unwavering commitment to others, always placing the needs of family, friends and even strangers before his own.

Even in passing, Burke’s compassion continues to make an extraordinary impact. He was among the small percentage of individuals eligible for organ donation, a gift that speaks volumes about the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind.

While his family mourns the loss of a beloved father, grandfather, family member and friend, they find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on— not only in the memories he created and the love he shared, but also in the lives he saved.

Kathleen Ivory (1939-2026)

Kathleen “Kitty” Ivory, née Bannigan, passed away on June 14, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 86.

Ivory’s heart was as generous as her smile. She devoted her life to caring for others, always placing faith, family and friends at the center of everything she did. She made everyone feel valued, loved and cared for.

Ivory was also immensely proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed sharing its traditions with friends and family.

Ivory was preceded in death by her parents John and Kathryn (Concannon), her brother John, her beloved uncles John Concannon, Tom Flaherty and Don Ryan, her godson Sean Ryan and many cherished family members and friends who welcomed her home.

She is survived by her loving husband Bill, daughters Bridget (Tim) Corbett and Megan (Tom) Carr, cherished grandchildren Charlie, Will, Annie (Nick), Katie (Jackson), Liam, Desmond, Tommy and Finn, one great-grandchild on the way, in-laws Eileen Ivory, Jack and Zona Ivory, Nora Ivory, Margaret Barrett and Roie Ivory, many godchildren and countless friends and extended family members who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Private interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Ivory’s memory to the American Heart Association or St. John the Baptist Church.

Dorothy J. Grauel (1932-2026)

Dorothy J. Grauel, née Nowicki, former 71-year resident of Roseville, passed away on June 13. She was 94.

Grauel was born on April 27, 1932, to Peter and Wilma Nowicki in Prescott, Wisc., later joined by sister Eileen and brother Norman. She graduated from Mechanic Arts High School and later worked for the MN Highway Department in the Driver’s License Division.

Grauel found joy in gardening, and for many years was an active member of the Roseville Garden Club. She also had a love for live music and singing along. She and her husband Albert enjoyed entertaining and had many gatherings at their home with plenty of good food.

Grauel’s generous and beautiful spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Grauel was preceded in death by her parents, brother, brother-in-law Elbert Colvard, nephew Gary Colvard, great-nephew Ryan Johnson, parents-in-law Albert and Florence Grauel and siblings-in-law Phillip “Mike” and Carol Grauel.

She is survived by Albert, her beloved husband of 73 years, daughters Cheryl (Bill) Bergeron, Barbara (Steve) Herreid, Nancy (Daniel) Hancock and Janet Elmquist, eight grandchildren and their families, sister Eileen Colvard, sister-in-law Carol Nowicki and eight nieces and one nephew and their families.

Interment at Roselawn Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the local food shelf of your choice.

Jacki Klockeman (1943-2026)

Jacki Klockeman of Roseville passed away on June 17. She was 83.

Klockeman was preceded in death by her husband Len and parents Irvin “Jim” and Emma Handt.

She is survived by sisters Marion Handt and Marjorie Kemp and many other relatives and friends.
