Michael J. Martell (1956-2026)

Michael James Martell passed away peacefully at his home on Jan. 27. He was 69.

Martell was born on March 25, 1956 in Dodgeville, Wisc. He worked for decades as a price analyst for Holiday Station Stores in Bloomington, Minn.

He was a dedicated and loving partner to his wife, Susan, who passed away in July 2022. They loved to travel to try out different fishing spots and were always surrounded by what they loved: laughter, joy and their animals.

Martell is survived his son Jack, daughter Ashley Scherer (Eric), grandchildren Casen and Harlan, brothers Steve and Jeff Martell (Linda), nephews John and James, brother-in-law Jeff Shea (Kieran), nephew Jack and niece Savannah.

No services are planned.

Dennis W. Luger (1950 – 2026)

Dennis Wallace Luger of Woodbury, Minn. passed away on Tuesday. He was 75.

Luger graduated from St. Agnes High School in St. Paul, Minn. in 1968. He spent his career working in the insurance industry as an auto claims adjuster. In his free time he enjoyed softball, bowling, fishing and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Eleanor (Prospal) Luger. He is survived by his sons Eric and Mark Luger and sister Diane.

Visitation 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12 at Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 1414 N. Dale St., St. Paul, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.

Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery.
