Peter D. Kubesh (1953-2026)
Peter Donald ‘Pete’ Kubesh of Maplewood, Minn. passed away peacefully on Thursday with his loving wife Karen by his side. He was 73.
Kubesh is remembered by his many friends and family as being kind, generous, and hardworking, had an enormous smile and openly showed his love for people. He always took pride in his work and held many fulfilling professions and retired as a truck driver from Tilsner Carton in St. Paul, Minn. However, he never let his profession define him, only his character. He loved old Western movies and riding with his motorcycle club.
Kubesh was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Gladys (DeLong) Kubesh, uncle and aunt Oscar and Eleanor (Delong) Stuber, older sister MaryAnn Bacon and grandson Tyler Jeremy John Kubesh.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Karen, sister Joleen Rusch, sons and their spouses, Steven Kubesh (Michelle), Jeremy Kubesh (Pennie), Tod Biniek and Jim Biniek (Tracie), and six grandchildren: Brandon Kubesh, Derek Kubesh, Olivia Kubesh, Tod Jr., Noah Biniek and Ava Biniek.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, Feb. 6 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home — Roseville. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5 and 11-12 p.m. on Friday. Entombment will be at Oakland Cemetery.
