Barbara Jean Money (née Gray) (1927-2025)

Barbara Jean Money of Little Canada, Minn., passed away on Friday at home following a short illness. She was 98.
Originally from Indianapolis, Money moved to Little Canada in 2017 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. While living in Muncie, Ind., she pursued her dream of teaching at the age of 36, earning her Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in 1970 and her Master’s in 1972. Money retired from teaching in 1993.
Money’s hobbies included a love of gardening, reading, music and cooking holiday meals for her family. During her years in Muncie, she was an active member of Hazelwood Christian Church, and a was a member of the choir there as well.
Money is survived by her daughters, Lee Ann (Ed Merkert) and Sandra (Michael Dolce) and grandchildren Jim and Sara Dolce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harland Money, her mother, Bertha Fry and her brother, Wayne Gray.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 13 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home in Roseville.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Cardigan Ridge Senior Living for their music program or Hazelwood Christian Church, Muncie, Ind.
Geraldine E. Berc (1942-2025)

Geraldine “Geri” Ella Berc of Vadnais Heights, Minn. passed away peacefully on Friday. She was 83.
Berc was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and an avid Minnesota Twins fan, having seen them win the World Series twice in person. She never missed her children’s sports games, either. She loved to travel and take road trips, especially to Hawaii and the northern Minnesota lake home she built and shared with her husband of 67 years, Max Berc, Jr.
Berc was also known for her cooking, especially her “legendary” Swedish meatballs. She also loved playing board games like Scrabble and Sorry! with her children and later grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Berc was preceded in death by her mother Lucille Barta, father Melvin Magnuson, brothers Robert, Donald and Stephen Magnuson, and sister Darlyne Bauer.
She is survived by her husband Max, children Timothy Berc (Andrea) and Nicole Seiffert (Christian), grandchildren Christian and Lily Berc, Johan Seiffert, and Logan and Lance Gareis, sister-in-law Margaret Magnuson, cousin Linda Ghamsari, as well as nieces, nephews and loving relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Geri will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home in Roseville. Visitation at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday. Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery at 1510 N. Dale St., St. Paul, Minn.
Jeanne M. Andert (1938-2025)

Jeanne M. Andert of St. Paul, Minn. passed away on Monday at the age of 87.
Andert was an employee for the City of St. Paul for 37 years.
Andert was preceded in death by her parents, John Andert, Sr. and Angeline Andert, and her brother John “Jack” Andert, Jr. She is survived by her sister-in-law Marilyn Andert, as well as many cousins.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18 at the Church of the Holy Childhood, 1435 Midway Pkwy. in St. Paul, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Internment will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Ronald Lee Westad (1959-2025)

Ronald L. Westad, 66, of St. Paul, Minn. passed away peacefully on Sunday with his family at his side.
Westad grew up in St. Paul and attended Mechanic Arts High School, then St. Paul Central High School. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Okinawa from 1978 to 1981, traveling throughout the Pacific. When he returned home, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 39 years, retiring in 2023.
Westad was preceded in death by his father, Martin Westad and his mother, Donna Mathe. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Julie, his daughters Carly (John) and Krysten (Thomas) and granddaughter, Elise.
Memorial visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home in Roseville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
