Jan Wilson of St. Paul, MN passed away peacefully on July 1 surrounded by her loving children. She was 77.
Wilson was born on July 21, 1948 and grew up in northeastern Iowa. She raised two children while working as a life insurance underwriter for over 35 years.
Beyond her career, Jan was known for her voracious reading, her love of traveling, her joy in Scottish dancing and her devotion to the TV quiz show, “Jeopardy”. She also found great delight in birdwatching and spending time with her cherished pets, including a long line of dachshunds.
Most of all, Jan loved being a mother and adored being a grandmother. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel seen and loved. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness and love for family.
Wilson was preceded in death by her parents and her beautiful granddaughter. She is survived by her two children, her two beloved grandchildren and her brother.
