Roseville community members are planning a brief musical demonstration on Saturday, March 28 in solidarity with No Kings actions happening across Minnesota and the country.

Organizers are inviting residents to gather at Roseville Lutheran Church, where participants will rehearse before walking one block to the intersection of Roselawn Avenue and Lexington Parkway for a short, non-confrontational public performance.

Event details

  • Meet: Roseville Lutheran Church, south parking lot
  • Time:
    • 11:30 a.m. – Brief rehearsal
    • 12:00–12:10 p.m. – Bell‑ringing and group singing at Roselawn & Lexington
  • Activity: Participants will ring bells and sing on the public sidewalk before returning to the church to disperse.
  • What to bring: Any bell, and/or your voice.

Organizers describe the event as a moment to “inspire unity, courage and hope — in solidarity with our neighbors, for the future of our communities.” The action is designed to be peaceful, brief and accessible, with no street closures or extended marching.

The Roseville gathering is one of many No Kings‑aligned events scheduled across the region on March 28. The national movement, which began in 2025, has grown into a broad, decentralized protest network emphasizing nonviolent action and community solidarity.

A separate, larger No Kings demonstration is planned in St. Paul on the same day. Organizers are encouraging attendees to use public transit due to expected crowds near the Capitol.

Transit guidance

  • Metro Transit app: Organizers recommend downloading the app ahead of time to simplify ticket purchases, especially when platforms are crowded.
  • Green Line stations serving the Capitol area:
    • Capitol/Rice Street
    • Robert Street
    • 10th Street

Trip planning: Riders can find route information on the Metro Transit website or call the Transit Information Center at (612) 373‑3333 for personalized assistance.
