Herman H. Zuettel (1940-2026)

Herman H. “Sonny” Zuettel of Roseville, Minn. and Baldwin, Wis. passed away peacefully on Jan. 5. He was 85.

Zuettel was a truck driver, gardener, farmer, animal lover and successful Minnesota State Fair exhibitor for his homegrown vegetables, winning several blue ribbons along with purple Champion ribbons. He moved from Baldwin to River Falls, Wis, then to Arizona and eventually back to Minnesota towards the end of his life to be with his family and celebrate his final birthday with them on Dec. 25.

Zuettel was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Jeanette Zuettel, sister Martha Houle, granddaughter Stormi Hielkema and great-grandson Brixton Hielkema.

He is survived by Betty Zuettel, daughters Bonny (Mike) Haller, Brenda (Joel) Hielkema and Barb Shaw, grandchildren Jamie, Dylan, Colleen, Bryce, Megan, Rowan and Vivian and great-grandchildren Copeland, Brahm, Ashling, Kaden and Tiergan.

Private service and interment to be held at Elmhurst Cemetery.
