Ruth L. Weyandt (1926-2026)

Ruth Lillian Weyandt, née Welsch, passed away on Friday. She was 99.

Born on Dec. 10, 1926, Weyandt lived a long and independent life, continuing to live on her own until her recent hospitalization. She grew up on Rice Street in St. Paul, Minn., and later raised her own family there.

Weyandt loved to feed everyone, cooking and baking daily, and finding new recipes online to try. She was never without a treat and a cup of coffee when anyone stopped in to see her. She was still baking brownies at age 99.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Weyandt Sr., sisters Edith, Marie, Kaddy Lorraine and Margie and brothers Bruts (Henry), Wally, James and Ron.

Weyandt is survived by her children Mary Beth (Edward) Mielech, Tom (Diane) Weyandt, Joan Weyandt (John Gustafson) and Jerry (Michele) Weyandt, along with 14 grandchildren,13 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She also had a huge number of surviving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 9 at Mueller-Bies Funeral home — Roseville. Visitation at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Monday. Private family interment at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to donate to a local food shelf of their choice.

Robert Rychlicki (1959-2026)

Robert “Bob” Rychlicki of Virginia Beach, Va. passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 22 after a short battle with cancer. He was 66.

Rychlicki was born in St. Paul on April 5, 1959 to Robert and Shirley Rychlicki, the eldest of eight children. After graduating from college, he moved to Virginia to work for Cargill. He also worked for the City of Norfolk for over twenty years.

Rychlicki was preceded in death by his parents and his brother David, as well as another brother in infancy. He is survived by his brothers Ronnie (Gail), Thomas, Michael (Kathy), Daniel and Richard, his sister Linda, aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his close friends Lisa Carter, Jens Lucenz (Suzanne), Lee and Debbie Acors and their daughters Brittany (Connor) and Elizabeth (Shreyas).

Memorial Service at noon on Friday, March 20 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home – Roseville. Visitation from 11 a.m. – noon. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
